Students will be provided individual instruction in the necessary course work for obtaining a high school diploma. Interested students should make an appointment with the adult education principal at 757-5380. Students may register throughout the school year.

    3. A student must earn 180 credits to graduate from the Davis Adult School before his/her 20th birthday because P.E. is a requirement up to 20 years of age.
  2. Sources of Credit
    1. Credit earned in other secondary schools. Correspondence courses from accredited institutions may be accepted. The State regulations provide that not more than 40 semester periods of instruction by correspondence shall be approved for credit toward graduation from high school.
    2. Military Experience

      1. Basic Training 30 semester credits
      2. Military Schools Evaluated on basis of course description supplied by various branches of the Armed Forces or by the evaluation service provided by the American Council on Education.
    3. General Education Development Tests
      1. These tests may be used to assist students in meeting graduation requirements.
      2. No person shall graduate on the basis of such credit prior to his/her 19th birthday.
      3. Up to 50 elective credits can be awarded for passing individual tests with a score of 40 or more. Credits will be granted based on the following scores.
      Test Scores 40-50 56-70
      Writing (Part 1&2) 5 credits 10 credits
      Social Studies 5 credits 10 credits
      Science 5 credits 10 credits
      Literature/Arts 5 credits 10 credits
      Mathematics 5 credits 10 credits
