Come to our office on the corner of Oak Avenue and 14th Street. We accept cash or checks in the office. We cannot process debit or credit cards. |
Persons 18 years of age or older may enroll in adult education classes. If parents are enrolled and attending a fee-based class, teenage students may enroll in the same fee class as their parent for personal growth. Concurrent students who need credit for high school graduation must schedule an appointment with their school counselor and the adult education principal.

Spring registration begins Monday, February 27. Students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the two weeks designated for early registration. For your convenience, on-line registration is always available. Classes sometimes reach their maximum enrollment prior to the first day of class.

Students who mail registration forms and those who register on-line will be contacted only if the course has filled or has been cancelled. Please attend the first class unless you have been contacted by Davis Adult School staff.

Please attend the first class to receive textbook information. Textbooks for some foreign language classes are available for purchase in the office.

Persons 65 years of age or older receive a 10% discount on tuition for Community Interest Classes, with the exception of classes that use district computer labs. Seniors must register in person at the Davis Adult School office. There is no senior discount for state approved class tuitions or for materials fees.

A 50% refund will be
made if requested within two business
days of the first class, regardless of
when the registration took place. The
refund policy applies even if you registered
in the fall for a class offered in
the spring. We cannot make exceptions
to the 50% charge because of the cost
of processing refunds. If you paid by
check, please be prepared to provide
evidence that your check has cleared.

Any class can be cancelled or shortened if there are not approximately 15 tuition-paying students registered prior to the first class. If a class is cancelled, students who have enrolled will be notified either prior to or at the time of the first class and tuition payments will be refunded in full.

Information
It is the intention of the Board of Education that every member of the community shall have the right for prompt and orderly redress of a grievance relating to an alleged violation of federal and state laws or regulations of education programs. Therefore, pursuant to California Code Regulation, Title 5, Section 4600, the District has developed necessary procedures to process a complaint regarding educational services provided by the adult school. A copy of the uniform complaint policy is available at each site where adult education is offered. A complaint should be addressed first to the adult school principal and may necessitate involvement of the district complaint officer, who can be reached at (530) 757-5300, extension 116.

Course evaluation forms are available in the adult school office or here. If you have a marketable talent and an aptitude for teaching please send us a course proposal, also available on our website. A teaching credential is not required to teach fee-based courses.
