The “Michael Olaf” catalog is a great source of thoughtful information about Montessori and child development.   It is a wonderful resource for hearing about why we do things in the manner that we do in the classroom.    I find it both refreshing and inspiring.   The link to their online version is below.  

Homework ......

Please read with your child every night and fill out the "Reading Log".     Your child should make a picture, representing a book that was read.   On Friday,  please have your student bring the completed log to school.   We will share these when we have time.   The pages will be collected and made into a book at the end of the year for the student.

 

If your student is doing 'book in the bag', it is optional to do this reading log too.   You may just fill out the form in the bag or the same book can be written on both, your choice.
