TODAY IN HISTORY
In 1861 the U.S. Civil War began when Confederate forces began an
Artillery attack on Union troops at Fort Sumter,
South Carolina.
JV LACROSSE
JV Lacrosse Slay Bishop O'Dowd Dragons 10-2
In their last league meeting before spring break, the DHS JV Lacrosse team
once again scored in double digits as they bested Bishop O'Dowd 10-2 Thursday
evening in Oakland. The
strong offense composed of DHS sophomores took advantage of the Dragons'
weaker defense. Kaycee Wegener
led the Devils with 3 goals and an assist followed by LLanka
Cayuqueo-Lowry and Annie Hassid with 2 goals and 1
assist each. Nancy Stone, Megan Lo and Francesca Perrone
rounded out the score with 1 goal each.

PEER HELPERS
Attention any 7th or 8th grade student who is interested in applying to be a
Peer Helper next year. There are applications in the attendance office and
the deadline to turn them in to the office is this Thursday, April 15th. If
you have any questions please see Ms. Terra in the Physical Education office.

PARENTS
On Tuesday, April 13 the nurses will be screening for scoliosis. The
screening is for 7th grade girls and 8th grade boys and will take place
during P.E. classes. Girls should wear bras/sport bras or bathing
suits, which allow the spine portion of the back to be visible to the
examiner. Early detection of a curvature is important. You will
be notified after the initial screening if your child needs re-screening by a
physician.
