Courses Offered
- MULTIMEDIA STUDIES (8th/9th)
- Computer lab open during 7/8 lunch most days for internet, school work, and recreation. Open for 9th grade on "all together lunch" days.
- Robotics Club - meets 3:20 to 4:30 Tuesdays
- Holmes Movie Makers club - for 7th & 8th graders meets Tuesdays at lunch.

About the Teacher
Jennifer K. Sommer was born and raised in San Jose, California. An active person who enjoys cycling, skiing, reading, sewing, and traveling, she has been to every continent except Antartica. Her husband is a scientist and they have three children, two attend Holmes, and one is at U.C. Santa Barbara.
Ms. Sommer has taught computer classes since 1987 at all levels, from Elementary School up to Junior College, but her favorite is Junior High. With a B.A. in International Relations from U.C. Davis, Ms. Sommer studied Computer Science at Edith Cowan University and did her student teaching at the University of Western Australia. For two years she taught at a girls' high school in Australia. Ms. Sommer also taught at The Dorris-Eaton School in Walnut Creek; Burbank, Grant, and Highlands High Schools in Sacramento; Winters High School, and Davis Adult School before arriving at Holmes in 2001.
