Welcome Volunteers!

Volunteer Program Mission Statement

The Davis Joint Unified School District seeks to increase student achievement and improve school climate through family and community engagement, by matching organizations' and individuals' volunteer time, talents and resources with school and student needs.

Your role as a volunteer is a very important one, and we hope that your involvement in our schools will be as rewarding for you as it will be for our students, teachers and school staff.

Volunteer Information

Davis 1000 Mentor Challenge

If you are interested in volunteer opportunities in Davis we encourage you to visit the 2016 Davis 1000 Mentor Challenge Facebook page.

Our Volunteer System

We would like to introduce you to a new electronic volunteer check-in system that the district has implemented  called Virtual Volunteer. This system helps screen and track volunteers at our schools, thus providing a safer more monitored environment. When volunteers check-in they will be asked to present a valid state issued ID for entering into the system. Please remember to return to the office to check out before you leave the school so that we can accurately keep track of your volunteer hours.
