Local Control Accountability Plan

The State of California changed the way school districts are funded. Instead of telling districts how much money to spend on each part of the budget, the State is giving each district a lump sum to spend as they choose to best serve their students. This new system is called the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF).

To make sure all students—especially low-income students, English learners and foster youth—will be served well by this new funding, each district must set goals and show growth in eight priority areas. The goals and actions to achieve them must be created with input from community, parents, students and staff. These goals and actions are called the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). It will be updated every year.

2018-19 LCAP DRAFT
DJUSD Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) draft that was approved by the Board of Education on June 21, 2018. The LCAP helps the district connect the funding we receive with the goals we have established, and parent/guardian input plays a critical role in identifying these goals.

LCAP Advisory Committee Meetings
The LCAP Advisory, made up of DJUSD community members, meet throughout the year. The role of the advisory is to provide diverse perspective and feedback on the goals, actions, and services specified in the LCAP. Staff facilitates the conversation using the existing LCAP and relevant data.

All DJUSD community members are welcome. Advisory dates for the 2018-2019 school year will be available in September.
